At the May 5 Annual Meeting of the ONCC, Carl Burleson, Deputy Assistant Administrator of Policy, International Affairs, and Environment for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) presented ONCC Chair Arlene Juracek with a letter from Director Michael Huerta congratulating the organization on their 20th Anniversary.
The letter states that "ONCC has been a strong advocate for the program, and tens of thousands of O'Hare-area residents have benefitted directly from ONCC's leadership."
In his remarks, Mr. Burleson commended the ONCC on their community outreach and partnerships and recognized the organization as a national model for citizen engagement and advocacy.

At its Annual Meeting on Friday, May 5, The O’Hare Noise Compatibility Commission (ONCC) celebrated its 20th Anniversary. The membership approved the slate of officers for the 2017-18 term. Current officers, who include Mount Prospect Mayor Arlene Juracek, chair, Joseph Annunzio, vice chair, and Dr. Raymond Kuper, treasurer, were nominated and approved to continue for additional terms.

The O’Hare Noise Compatibility Commission (ONCC) will hold its Annual Meeting on Friday, May 5, 2017. The meeting starts at 8:00 a.m. and will be held at Cafe La Cave - 2777 S. Mannheim Road, Des Plaines, IL.
At the meeting, the full membership will approve the slate of officers for the 2017-18 term. Current officers, who include Mount Prospect Mayor Arlene Juracek, Chair, Joseph Annunzio, Vice Chair, and Dr. Raymond Kuper, Treasurer, are expected to be nominated to continue for an additional term. The organization is celebrating its 20th Anniversary, which will also be highlighted at the meeting.

Fly Quiet Runway Rotation Test 2 started the evening of April 30, 2017.
Test 2 will be in place for a period of 12 weeks. Each new week will begin on Sunday evening at 10 p.m. or after when demand allows for one arrival and one departure runway.
Fly Quiet Runway Rotation Test 2 features 10 total configurations in a 12- week rotation. Five of the configurations are modified from the original test. Two of the configuration changes were based on FAA feedback, two based on ameliorating heavy runway use and one based on a desire to reduce the number of mixed-use/single runway configurations.

The Ad Hoc Fly Quiet Committee met on April 25, 2017.
Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) staff provided a presentation on Fly Quiet Runway Rotation Test 2 which will begin the evening of Sunday, April 30. The duration of the test is 12 weeks. The rotation schedule features 6 diagonal and 6 parallel configurations and 6 east flow and 6 west flow configurations in order to balance the impact of nighttime noise.

CDA Receives Approval to Conduct Fly Quiet Runway Rotation Test 2
Test expected to begin April 30
The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) announced today that they have received approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to implement a second Fly Quiet runway rotation test. Test 2 is expected to begin April 30 and will be in place for a period of 12-weeks. Each new week would begin on Sunday evening at 10 p.m. or after when demand allows for one arrival and one departure runway.
According to the CDA’s submittal to the FAA, “The purpose of Test 2 is to test the capabilities of the different configurations in response to FAA concerns, as well as test new configurations that were not included in Test 1.” Test 1 was in place from July – December 2016.
