‍Members are receiving a mailing this week with reminders about attendance, ethics disclosure form and an outreach survey.

‍Attendance Reminder

A friendly reminder that significant member absences can hamper the Commission’s ability to conduct business, disseminate information and act on important policy decisions. The strength of the ONCC lies in the active participation of each member. If you are not available to attend a meeting, please designate an alternate on your behalf.

Per Section 6 of the Intergovernmental Agreement Relating to the O’Hare Noise Compatibility Commission (see link for full language):

“If a Members’ Designee or Alternate misses three consecutive or the majority of Regular Meetings in a single calendar year, the Member will receive written notification from the Executive Director that it will be temporarily suspended from the O’Hare Commission for a period of one year, which shall begin on the date of the written notification.

Temporary suspension will involve the loss of membership and voting privileges for that one-year period from the date of the suspension. During the temporary suspension, suspended Members may attend meetings and participate in discussions as members of the public, but will not count as part of the voting quorum and will not be eligible to vote.”

Please mark your calendar for upcoming meetings. Due to the pandemic, we are continuing to meet virtually. Meeting links, notices and agendas are emailed out in advance of each meeting and posted on the website.
