The ONCC School Sound Insulation Program (SSIP) committee works in cooperation with the city of Chicago and O’Hare area private and public schools to reduce the effects of aircraft noise in classrooms. The committee oversees the O’Hare School Sound Insulation Program, the largest program of its type in the world.
The School Sound Insulation Program Committee was recently re-formed due to a new program being instituted in 2024.
